About Euro
The Euro (EUR) is the official currency of 19 of the 27 European Union member states, collectively known as the Eurozone. Introduced in 1999 for electronic transactions and launched as physical cash in 2002, the Euro aims to facilitate economic stability and integration among member countries. It is the second most traded currency in the world, following the US dollar. The Euro is subdivided into cents, with coins available in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cents, as well as €1 and €2 coins. Banknotes come in seven different denominations, reflecting Europe's cultural heritage.
