mBTC is a commonly used denomination of Bitcoin. 1 mBTC represents one thousandth of a Bitcoin, or 0.001 BTC. Referring to prices in mBTC instead of BTC can be helpful when talking about smaller transactions, which can be described in a more intuitive and easily readable way. To convert from BTC to mBTC, simply multiply the BTC amount by 1,000. For example, 0.025 BTC is equal to 25 mBTC.
Please note that mBTC is not a separate cryptocurrency, and just refers to a denomination of Bitcoin. We decided to do a dedicated mBTC listing on CoinCodex as a convenience because some users like to refer to BTC amounts in mBTC.
